The Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology recommend EnglishScore as a prerequisite for their Talent Scouting Programme

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in Indonesia recognises an EnglishScore certificate as proof of English proficiency for their Talent Scouting Programme. It can now be used as a prerequisite to prove English skill level.

We are delighted to announce that the EnglishScore test and certificate is now being recommended as proof of English proficiency for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology’s Talent Scouting Programme. An EnglishScore certificate is now recognised alongside IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL ITP English exams, with prospective participants requiring a score of 450+ to be eligible.

What is the Talent Scouting Programme?

The Talent Scouting Programme is for post-graduate university lecturers looking to pursue a doctoral degree at an overseas university. The initiative helps candidates to secure a place and includes a series of workshops to help them prepare for studying abroad.

The training comprises four modules: Scientific Papers, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and two modules on Research. Content includes guidance on PhD research proposals, how best to communicate with a potential supervisor, how to find funding for publications and balancing the academic and non-academic pressures of studying a doctoral degree.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology receives between 500-1000 applications every year with acceptances of approximately 300 lecturers.

The selection process runs throughout May with successful applicants notified in June. The scheme runs from June to November 2021.

“We are pleased to be recognised as a test and certificate of English proficiency for this prestigious scholarship and we look forward to working with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in the future”.

– EnglishScore CEO, Michael Curry
How does EnglishScore fit within the application process?

Candidates must fulfil certain criteria in order to be eligible, including having a permanent lecturing post under the Ministry of Education and Culture and a doctoral research proposal in English. They must also show proof of their English language level with a recognised English certificate. Candidates must achieve an EnglishScore of at least 450 (equivalent to a 5.5 IELTS) in order to apply.

Applicants will need to download the app, take the test and buy the British Council accredited certificate to be considered.

Easy to use remotely, the secure EnglishScore test is a credible digital alternative to other English exams administered at physical locations such as TOEIC and TOEFL ITP. In the midst of the global pandemic, EnglishScore is a safe and cost-effective way for applicants to prove their English proficiency and apply for a scholarship.

“We are really happy with EnglishScore. The app is an accessible and affordable way for candidates to prove their English level.”
