Test Security
The front-facing camera captures photos at random intervals throughout the test to verify identity. All photos are stored securely and presented in the certificate security report.
AI continuously monitors each test session and flags potential violations — including additional people in frame, the test-taker leaving view, use of external devices, or signs of external assistance. Flagged sessions are reviewed before certificates are issued.
Environmental checks ensure test conditions are appropriate and free from external assistance.
Questions are dynamically selected so no two tests are identical, preventing answer sharing.
Screen recording, screenshots, and auto-complete are disabled during the test.

Data Privacy
EnglishScore takes data privacy seriously. In-test photos and personal data are stored securely in the cloud with access controls and encryption. We comply with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR. Test-taker data is only accessible to the test-taker and — where a connect code is used — to the approved administrators of the organisation they are testing for. Photos are retained for the purpose of certificate verification and are not shared with third parties.
