I am an experienced, CELTA-qualified teacher who has taught English in the UK and Japan for a total of 10 years. I have years of experience of personalising lessons to individual learners, and I really enjoy customising my lessons to suit my students’ interests. I am able to teach Business and General English, and have experience of preparing students for examinations such as IELTS, FCE, CAE, TOEIC and BULATS. Career highlights include two years teaching students of all ages in Japan (where I achieved an average of 4.75 out of 5 in my customer evaluations), and six years teaching high-flying business professionals in London. I have a strong knowledge of grammar and structure and can answer any questions students might have. I am also friendly, positive and chatty, and am able to encourage even the shyest students to speak.
Work experience: I am an experienced Business English teacher, with years of experience coaching high-ranking business executives. I have taught businesspeople from many global companies, and am expert at selecting materials which interest and challenge my students. Education: I hold a First Class degree in English Literature from the University of Warwick, and an MA (Distinction) in Applied Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I also have a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults).
